Product Description

Red Raspberry Seed Oil is a luxurious, fast-absorbing carrier oil, cold-pressed from raspberry seeds, a by-product of the juicing industry. This sustainable process turns waste into a skin-loving ingredient rich in nourishing lipids. Light texture and dry skin feel, absorbs quickly without leaving a residue, suitable for all skin types, especially dry, mature, and blemish-prone skin. Rich in omega-3 and 6 fatty acids, this oil is an emollient that moisturises and softens the skin. Also rich in antioxidant compounds that fight free radicals, reduce inflammation, and protect the skin from environmental stressors. Known to support a calm, even complexion and reduce redness. Red Raspberry Seed Oil conditions the skin and improves skin texture, great in facial oils, creams, and serums. Raspberry seed oil may reduce water loss, soothe inflammation, and support the skin barrier and overall skin health.

While red raspberry seed oil provides some UV protection by absorbing certain UV rays, it is not a substitute on it's own for sunscreen and does not protect against all UVA rays, which are linked to skin cancer. Applying raspberry seed oil before sunscreen can add moisture and hydration to the skin, but it should always be used in combination with a broad-spectrum sunscreen for effective protection.

UV rays are a form of UV radiation emitted by the sun, including UVA, UVB, and UVC rays. Raspberry seed oil may protect against some UVB and UVC rays, but its effectiveness against UVA rays is limited in studies so it cannot fully protect the skin from sun damage or reduce the risk of skin cancer.

Our current stock is refined, neutral aroma and pale yellow colour, ideal for custom formulations. Tocopherol (Vitamin E) is diluted in Sunflower Seed Oil to ensure portability. In the ratio of 0.35% Tocopherol with 0.15% Sunflower Oil.
