Dry oil containing a high level of linoleic acid (omega 6 essential fatty acid).

Orgnaic Sunflower seeds contain 40-50% oil, which is thin, dry, runny and light yellow, reminiscent of thistle oil, but fattier. The raw oil has a strong smell and taste, which is removed during the extraction process. It is a dry oil containing a high level of linoleic acid (omega 6 essential fatty acid). It spreads easily and is absorbed relatively quickly by the skin.

Organic Sunflower Oil keeps for 1.5-2 years.

Inci:

Helianthus annuus Seed Oil
It can be used for all skin types, even oily skin as it is a dry oil. Sunflower oil also has excellent pore size reduction qualities, so is good to use on large-pored skin.

Adding (high linoleic acid) sunflower oil to creams and lotions will make them lighter and drier. The high lecithin content (that is also soothing to the skin) of sunflower oil makes it a good choice for making creams and lotions as lecithin helps to emulsify in the same way that egg yolks, which contain 8-10% lecithin, help to emulsify oils and eggs to make mayonnaise. So, sunflower oil is therefore excellent for adding to vegetal/base emulsifier creams that do not have as strong an emulsifying bond as MF or VE emulsifiers, or to recipes that you find difficult to make thick enough, or where you find that the cream separates easily.

Hair Care
In hair care products blend with Aloe Vera, Jojoba Oil, D-panthenol and Vitamin E-oil.

Massage Oil Blends
When using it in massage oil blends, try blending it with fattier, softer and longer oils such as Avocado, Apricot Kernel, Peach Kernel, Sweet Almond Oil or better still, Olive Oil, to provide better lubrication. Normal Sunflower Oil is not soft on the skin; it is in fact a little rough.

In Large Pored Skin Products
Blend with Kiwi Seed, Chia Seed, Thistle and Rosehip oils.
