It is a clear to brown liquid with a very slight vegetal aroma.
It is preservative free and biodegradable with a pH of 5.5 - 8.
This natural active is made from an extraction Evodia Rutaecarpa Fruit (also known as Wu Zhu Yu). Its function is to stimulate the extracellular release of nitric oxide in the blood vessels which dilates them and improves the microcirculation.
The fruit is grown is a very specific area of China. The ethical policy of the manufacturer confirms that no slave labour or child labour is used and there is no gender discrimination, which is great news for women's rights in China.
The primary source of the Propanediol used is glucose which is obtained from technical starch. This is sourced from industrial corn grown in the Midwestern United States and is certified as non genetically modified.
All materials used are strictly of vegetable origin.

It helps to maintain a flawless skin tone and bring a uniform complexion. Use it as a toner or as a gel prior to applying makeup.
It illuminates dull and lifeless skin and improves the firmness of the skin texture. We have seen that it visibly increases skin brightness and gives a healthy colour to the skin. Ideal to use in all anti ageing products, gels, serums, masks, creams and lotions.
Excellent in men’s grooming products as it is multifunctional and gives fast, visible results.
It boosts the circulation so could also be added to anti cellulite gels and creams.
As it boosts the microcirculation, this will stimulate the hair follicle.
Use at 1 - 3%.
Water soluble so cannot be used in oil only products.
Heat stable, so can be added to stage 2 (water stage) when making creams and lotions.
Combine with Bio-Energiser for hair loss products.
Use in a facial cream with Remodelling Intense to improve fine lines and wrinkles.
Blend in a serum with Lupine Peptides for improving the condition of the skin.
It has been used in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) for centuries for a wide variety of conditions.

Wu Zhu Illuminating Gel
Stage 1: (room temperature)
86% Rose Water
1% Konjac Glucomannan
Stage 2: (room temperature)
4% Oat Oil
3% Wu Zhu Extract
1% Preservative 12
0.75% Sandalwood Essential Oil
0.25% Rose Geranium Essential Oil
Lightly dust the Konjac Glucomannan over the Rose Water. You could use Orange Blossom Water instead. Beat until a light gel is formed.
Then add the stage 2 ingredients and combine. Jar and label.
Daily Defence Rejuvenating Cream
Stage 1: (above 75°C)
6% Prickly Pear Seed Oil
7% Camellia Seed Oil
5% Oat Oil
3% VE Emulsifier
2% Cetearyl Alcohol
Stage 2: (above 75°C)
4.5% MF Emulsifier
6% Pomegranate Glycerol Extract
3% Wu Zhu Extract
57% Orange Flower Water
Stage 3: (below 40°C)
1% Preservative 12
2.5% Vitamin E
2% Remodelling Intense
0.2% Carrot Seed Oil
0.4% Blood Orange Essential Oil
0.4% Frankincense Essential Oil
Heat the stage 1 (fat stage) ingredients in a double boiler until they are over 75°C.
In a separate double boiler, heat the stage 2 (water stage) ingredients to above 75°C.
Pour the fat stage into the water stage and stir. Ensuring the temperature stays above 75°C, stir for 5 minutes.
Remove the bowl from the bain marie and place in a pan of cold water. Bring the temperature down to below 40°C whilst still stirring.
Add the stage 3 materials and stir thoroughly. Jar and label.
