Hello,
Can Liftonin be used as a solo preservative with a broad spectrum covering bacteria, yeast and fungi?
If so, why do you use preservative 12 in it as well?

Thank you for your enquiry.

“You could use Eco Marine Algae Extract at 0.5% and increase the water by 1’5% to keep the 100% balance.
It does not do the same as Liftonin but does give excellent benefits.”

“Yes, you can certainly use Preservative Eco instead. Use it at the same amount as the Preservative 12. However, as it has a smell to it, we have found that this intensifies it the preservative is added last. Therefore, don’t add it last. Combine all your Stage 4 ingredients together and then add that to the serum.”

Hi,
Can I use preservative eco instead of 12? Would I have to make any adjustments?
Thanks

“Because Liftonin is not a preservative. The Potassium Sorbate in the Liftonin is solely to protect the contents from contamination whilst in the original container. As soon as you add Liftonin to a formulation, that Potassium Sorbate becomes so diluted as to be ineffective for the whole formulation. Hence, the addition of a preservative.”
