It’s low melting point means it melts on contact with the skin sinking in to give a rich and luxurious skin feel to dehydrated skin and hair that is easily breakable.
It is an excellent emollient and very nourishing especially for dry and more mature skin types.
Helps to soften and hydrate dry hair that is easily breakable. It leaves the hair feeling very smooth and silky and very little is needed to have this effect.
Use at 1% - 100%. Can be used neat for its excellent emollient properties. Heat tolerant so can use in the fat stage (stage 1) when making creams and lotions.
Can be gently melted and added to serums to enrich them.
Use in everyday creams, night creams and lotions, oil serums and massage blends. Nourishing in lip balms and body butters. Makes very hydrating bath melts and soaps.
ABC Body Butter - makes 100 ml/g
Stage 1: (heat in a double boiler until melted)
37% Avocado Butter
25% Cocoa Butter
20% Baobab Seed Oil
Stage 2: (add whilst cooling)
Stage 3: (under 40°C)
2% Vitamin E
1% Essential Oils of your choice (20 drops)
Heat the stage 1 ingredients in a double boiler until they are just melted then take off the heat. As the stage is cooling down, stir in the stage 2 ingredients. As it starts to go opaque, stir in all the stage 3 ingredients and beat until smooth and evenly mixed. Jar and label.

Avocado Hair Lotion - makes 100 ml/g
This makes a very light lotion (more of a milk consistency on bottling) which thickens a little more to a serum texture overnight. It sinks in well leaving hair and the scalp moisturised.
Stage 1: (above 75°C)
2% White Poppy Seed Oil
4% Avocado Butter
3% Emulsifying Wax
Stage 2:(above 75°C)
86% Boiling Spring Water
Stage 3: (below 40°C)
1% Preservative Eco
1% Vitamin E
1% Petitgrain Essential Oil
Heat the stage 1 ingredients to above 75°C in a double boiler. Add the stage 2 ingredients to a larger stainless steel bowl and pour in the stage 1 ingredients.
Keep above 75°C in the double boiler and keep stirring for 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat and cool down to below 40°C and stir in the stage 3 ingredients. Mix thoroughly then bottle and label.
