What does this mean?

Inci:Sodium chloride

A 100% natural salt rich with over 80 health enhancing minerals and trace elements. The natural pink colour comes from the high iron oxide content and the salts are also rich in calcium, potassium and magnesium. An excellent, ethical alternative to Dead Sea Salts.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Himalayan Pink Salt is a natural salt that was formed over 250 million years ago from a prehistoric ocean.

Shifting tectonic plates during the eons have locked this amazing resource into the base of the Himalayan mountain range.

Protected by layers of lava, ice and snow, it has stayed pure for millions of years, free from pollution.
The salt contains the same 84 trace elements and minerals that are essential to the human body and these include calcium, magnesium and potassium.

The attractive pink colour comes from the iron content.

According to the Cosmetic Ingredient Database (CosIng), the functions of Himalayan Pink Salt are: Bulking, Masking, Oral Care, Viscosity Controlling. To view more information, visit the CosIng Database here.
