Bamboo Buffer Lip Scrub

Bamboo Buffer Lip Scrub

Bamboo Buffer Lip Scrub Recipe

This lip scrub recipe is perfect to use all year round, ensuring your lips are moisturised, soft and protected. It also makes a great exfoliant for hands too.

Stage 1 (Heat until melted)

63% Watermelon Seed Oil

33% Soya Wax

Stage 2 (Cool down)

3% Bamboo Exfoliant

1% Blood Orange / Lemon / Lime / Grapefruit Essential Oil

100% Total

Method:

  • Heat the Stage 1 (fat stage) ingredients in a stainless steel or borosilicate glass beaker in a double boiler (bain marie) until they are just melted. There is no need to use a thermometer.

  • Remove from the heat and place in a pan of cold water. Keep stirring with a spatula until it looks custard like and is beginning to set up around the side of the beaker, but is still pourable. Then add the Stage 2 ingredients and stir in well.

  • Allow to cool until almost fully set, stir again to make sure the Bamboo Exfoliant has not settled to the bottom of the beaker then scoop into containers and label.

How to use:

Scoop out a small amount of Bamboo Buffer Lip Scrub and rub gently over the lips for a minute or so. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry. Your lips will feel soft and buffed to perfection.

Bamboo Exfoliant is fine enough to exfoliate your lips without tearing the skin. Watermelon Seed oil will moisturise and soften the skin and Soya Wax will provide a light but protective layer. Perfect for year round use.
