The individual materials that make up Body Wash/Shampoo Base are listed on the Cosmetic Ingredient Database (Cosing) here.
Skin Care
Add up to 2g of Essential Oils to 98g of the Body Wash and stir well to make a wonderfully fragranced product for the shower. Try small amounts at first because the combination of essential oils can affect the Base Body Wash differently. For example, the citrus oils like Blood Orange and Lemon will make the product a little runnier. Keep a note of which blends are your favourites.

Makes a great base for an exfoliating body scrub. Simply add 5g to 95g of the Body Wash. Bottle and label.

You can also make a great exfoliating face scrub in the same way but use Jojoba Exfoliating Grains instead as they are more suited to the skin on the face.

Hair Care
Add 3g Jojoba Oil with 1g Essential Oils to 97g of the Body Wash and stir well. This makes a very gentle shampoo with a conditioning effect.

Alternatives to the Jojoba could be the same amount of EcoSilk, Calendula, Broccoli Seed or Argan Oil. Each oil will change the texture slightly differently so keep notes to find your favourite.

To make a shampoo for thickening the hair, add 5% Phytokeratin to 95% Body Wash.

Other
Use 1% to 100%.

The preservative in this product works best at the pH it is already at (between pH4 and pH6). Adding a lot of an acidic ingredient like Aloe Vera Concentrate will shift the pH out if this range to a point where the preservative is ineffective. Bear this in mind when adding extra materials. Check the finished pH to make sure it is appropriate.

If you intend to adapt this product for resale, your safety assessor will advise you on your choice of added ingredients.

Adding 3% Oat Oil to 97% Base Body Wash makes a very luxurious all in one skin conditioning body wash and shampoo.
