Children of all ages will enjoy participating in some messy fun making these Fizzy Bath Salts. Not only will they enjoy mixing and pouring the ingredients but it also lets them enjoy some sensory playtime too. The simple recipe ensures it is easy for children to create. The finished product makes a wonderful gift for loved ones - why not let your children decorate the containers too for some extra fun!
Fizzy Bath Salts
Stage 1: (room temperature)
 
43% Epsom Salts
 
28% Himalayan Pink Salt
 
14% Bicarbonate of Soda
 
14% Citric Acid
 
1% Essential oils of your choice (eg Lavender, Red Mandarin, Green Mandarin, Spearmint)
 
A few drops of Non Water Based Colour
 
Rose Petals or Calendula Petals, Lavender Flowers (optional),
 
Method:
  • Weigh out all ingredients and put into a mixing bowl.
  • Stir together well.
  • Add dried flower petals if you would like to include them.
  • Once all the ingredients are well mixed in, put them into storage jars for later use.
