“It can be used either way. The maximum shine is when lightly applied ( a few drops on the palms of your hands or onto a hairbrush) and gently pulled through. It gives less shine when it is combed through wet hair and then left to dry but does condition well. It can also help to protect against some of the heat of styling devices.”
