What is it?

Flowers from Turkey. Undiluted Rose de Mai Absolute. A classic oil in aromatherapy that tones the digestive organs and can regulate the appetite. It is well known as a natural aphrodisiac and can help with insomnia and depression. An absolute is produced by solvent extraction which yields much more fragrant oil than steam distillation does and rose should always be diluted down before using as it is so overwhelming, it can be hard to appreciate the beautiful fragrance when used neat. Very much a female oriented oil, it regulates the menstrual cycle and balances the female hormones thus easing the discomfort of PMS and menopause.

Skin Care

As rose tones the liver, it is automatically a good skin care oil for all skin types but especially helping with dry skin, mature skin, wrinkles and broken capillaries. It improves poor circulation and instils a sense of love and self care that is very appropriate for creams, gels and lotions as well as bath melts and body butters.

Hair Care

No direct Hair Care useage but it would make a shampoo or conditioner very luxurious and desirable.

Suggested Blends

With jasmine and ylang ylang as an aphrodisiac. With sandalwood and patchouli for Skin Care.

Caution

Do not use during pregnancy.
