INCI Name

Refined. A semi-fatty oil that has the same properties as apricot kernel oil. The oil is clear, light yellow with a slight smell and mild taste. The peach kernel provides around 32-45% oil, which is stable and semi-fatty. Keeps for 2-3 years.

Skin Care

Its qualities are that it spreads well and is easily absorbed by the skin. It is absorbed quite slowly (20- 50 minutes) and is therefore excellent for use in whole body massage oil blends. It is a mild oil, which is tolerated by most people, and is especially good for sensitive, inflamed, dry or mature skin but it is a classic skin oil for sensitive skin and peach and apricot kernel oils are interchangeable for products that treat sensitive skin.

It enhances skin elasticity and has a soft and smooth quality on the skin. It works well in anti-wrinkle/skin rejuvenation products for sensitive skin and in massage lotions and oils for sensitive skin as peach kernel oil is a long oil.

A drop goes a long way and so is very good for long strokes in whole body massage. Excellent addition to skin cleansers and peelers for sensitive skin.

Cooking

Similar properties and use as apricot kernel oil but as it is refined it can be used for high temperature cooking.

You can substitute peach kernel oil with apricot kernel oil, which has the equivalent amount of fatty acids.

Anti-Wrinkle Oil Blend for Sensitive Skin

Blend peach kernel oil with kiwi seed, chia seed, blueberry seed and/or rosehip oil, which are drier and can be put in face oils and serums.

Face Oil for sensitive skin

30ml Peach Kernel Oil
40ml Evening Primrose Oil
20ml Rosehip Oil
9ml/g Vitamin E Oil (undiluted)
6 drops Rosemary Antioxidant (CO2 Extract)
10-12 drops Essential Oil

Body Oil for itchy skin

Apply to the skin where it is itchy.

45ml Peach Kernel Oil
10g Shea Butter (melt before using)
23ml Rosehip Oil
15ml Chickweed Oil
2ml/g Lechitin
2ml/g Bisabolol
2ml/g Vitamin E Oil (undiluted)
10-12 drops Essential Oils
