Organic Flowers from Bulgaria (a replacement for the organic Lavender from the Bulgarian community project that we had before).

What is it?

A very good quality Lavender that is very similar in fragrance to the French variety as it has a very full and rounded floral fragrance.

The list of properties for lavender is one of the longest of all the aromatherapy oils. Some people get confused what to use it for and one of the best things it does is to act as a synergist. Whatever the attributes of the other essential oils in a blend, lavender seems to make those oils work even harder by being included.

Skin Care

The number one choice to use on minor burns and skin problems. It is the classic aromatherapy oil to use in massage lotions and oil blends as well as skincare creams, lotions, gels and body wraps.

It is calming to the nerves and nervous tension and can assist with depression. Effective for letting go of nervous exhaustion it seems to work best in small amounts. It’s a good analgesic for muscular aches and pains especially sports related injuries as well as rheumatism and arthritis. It works very well with rose for mature skincare.

Hair Care

No specific useage for haircare but always adds a wonderful depth and fragrance to shampoos and conditioners.

Suggested Blends

With geranium as the classic skincare blend for all creams, lotions, gels and body wraps. With lemongrass for sports massage lotions and oil blends. With rosemary and geranium for a herbal shampoo. With spearmint and St’ John’s Wort for sunburn and skin irritations or after waxing.
