What is it?

Now also in 2g! Popularly called “The Fountain of Youth”, it is a common ingredient in skin care products, added for its skin rejuvenation properties. Aromantic's Hyaluronic Acid is made by producing enzymes from a bacteria-based biofermentation process and NOT sourced from poultry (roosters' combs), as are many others. Can be used in natural and organic products. A white to off-white, fine granulated powder. This is the same powder that we use when making our Hyaluronic Acid Gel by adding water and preservative (1% Hyaluronic Acid; 1% Preservative Eco and 98% Water). This powder can be used in natural and organic classified cosmetic products. Hyaluronic Acid has the ability to absorb up to 1000 times its own weight of water, so it’s therefore the most efficient humectant moisturiser we have so far.

This property is unique to HA. So you can see why it is popularly called “The Fountain of Youth” and it is a common ingredient in skin care products. Hyaluronic Acid can be processed either warm or cold and is incorporated into the water stage of a cosmetic formulation.

The easiest way to use the Hyaluronic Acid powder is to use the powder to first make a gel and then add the gel to your product. Here's how to make the gel: sprinkle 1 gram of it to 100ml/g of 20-50ΊC water/other liquids such as organic hydrolates, infusions or decoctions. Blend with an electric stick blender until it becomes like a gel. You now have a 1% solution gel (exactly the same concentration as Aromantic's Hyaluronic Acid Gel but without any preservatives added). You then need to use it straight away by adding it during the water or third stage to your creams, lotions or gels. Dosage for THE GEL: 1-10%. For a more intensive effect, add up to 10%. Please note: if you are making a commercial product with a shelf life, you will need to add some sort of preservative to your product.

Water-soluble.

Can I add it to oil serums or ready-made products?

You should not add the powder to oil serums or oil blends as it will separate but you can add it, once made into a GEL, to all skin rejuvenating and moisturising already-made products. Simply stir in the correct dose thoroughly.

Tips/Extra Information

Currently, there are no known side effects for most externally or topically applied hyaluronic acid products such as serums and creams or even pills and liquid formulations taken internally. However, there appear to be problems and some side effects associated with injecting hyaluronic acid into the face and breasts.
