What is it? 90% Sunflower Oil (Organic) plus Essential Oils/Absolutes of: Mandarin, Green (Organic); Rosewood (Organic); Palmarosa (Organic); Ylang Ylang Complete (Organic); Helichrysum (Organic); May Chang Fruit (Organic).
Our Combination Skin Blend is part of a range of four blends for different skin types formulated by our very own Mike Harmon who, as many of you will know, is a clinical aromatherapist who is also very skilled at formulating and making natural skin and hair care products in the Aromantic style.
Benefits It is ideal for enhancing tailor-made/prescription products that you make up for your therapy clients or for part of a skin care range catering for different skin types. You can add it to any product that you can add vegetable oils to, such as creams, gels, vegetable oil blends and serums, whether youre making them from scratch or you simply want to add the blend to ready-made products, it couldnt be easier! Note: if you add this blend to gels (while making from scratch or adding to ready-made gels) it will result in a milky gel as the more fats/oils you add to an emulsion, the whiter it becomes.
Mandarin, Green (Organic) It balances sebum production, making it good for balancing oily and dry skin, perfect for a combination skin blend! Suitable for use on sensitive skin. As a liver stimulant, it benefits the skin by acting as a decongestant and astringent.
Rosewood (Organic) It balances dull, dry and oily skin so is suitable for all skin types. It also helps to stimulate new skin cell growth.
Palmarosa (Organic) Excellent skin care properties as it moisturises the skin and balances hydration levels. It balances sebum production so useful for all skin types and keeps the skin supple and flexible.
Ylang Ylang Complete (Organic) It balances over dry or over oily skin by regulating the sebum production. Helichrysum (Organic) - It clears liver congestion so automatically clears the skin as well. Effective on acne and skin wounds including rosacea, dermatitis and eczema.
May Chang Fruit (Organic) Very effective to use when treating problem skin conditions such as greasy skin, acne and dermatitis. It is calming and anti inflammatory.
Dosage and How to use in products Dosage: This is a concentrated blend. Use 1-2% of the blend in your products. Add to products in the same way as you would other fragrances and essential oils. Keeps 1.5 years.
Cautions Because it contains May Chang Fruit be aware to only use in low dilutions [if you stick to recommended dosage for this blend this should not be an issue but always test first] and not on broken skin as it may irritate. May irritate sensitive skin so best to avoid during pregnancy.
