This is a liquid hand sanitiser rub that is designed by the WHO to work as a hygienic hand antiseptic.
It is a fast acting, broad spectrum, antimicrobial liquid. It is suitable for use when other hand cleaning facilities are not available, but please do continue to wash your hands thoroughly and regularly with hand soap whenever these facilities are available.
About the ingredients:
This is a minimum of 99% strength. The is the active ingredient in the product that is providing the sanitising effect.
This is the 3% strength. Hydrogen Peroxide is needed as this gives off oxygen over a period of 72 hours which eliminates fungal spores naturally found in the air and may be present both in the product and containers. It is there solely to protect the product once we have bottled it.
The WHO requirement is a minimum of 99.5% purity. Our current batch is 99.8% purity. Glycerin is a humectant which means that is attracts moisture to itself and therefore the skin thus helping to condition the skin from the drying effect of the alcohol.
Once the product has been made it is filled into containers and then quarantined for 72 hours whilst the Hydrogen Peroxide does its job destroying any potential fungal contaminants. Only then is it ready for shipping.
This is in accordance with both the WHO and UK Government Guidance.
To use it, apply a palm sized amount into the hand and rub hands together well, covering all areas. Rub hands together until dry. The alcohol evaporates very quickly.
