Horsetail helps to strengthen the connective tissue and stimulate the production of new, healthy skin cells. It can help to soothe inflamed skin and has a high natural Silica content which helps to carry oxygen to the skin.
Cleavers naturally contains a variety of Tannic Acids which are astringent and help to soothe irritated and inflamed skin whilst encouraging healing to take place.
Wild Pansy has a long traditional history for soothing itchy, irritated and inflamed skin conditions.
Calendula is, perhaps, the most well known of the soothing herbs. It is gentle yet strong and extremely valuable when used on irritated skin as it encourages healthy skin cell growth.
The blend of vegetable oils we used is exceptional and includes Pumpkin Seed Oil (again for extra silica content), Rice Bran Oil, Oat Oil and Thistle Oil. You can read more about each of these on the website.
Aloe Vera was added, of course, and we have included Rice Starch because of the immensely soothing and gentle texture it adds to the cream as well as being beneficial to all skin types. The cream is finished off with some Evening Primrose and Vitamin E, both renowned for their benefits to irritated skin.
It’s quite a potent formulation!
