A CO2 extract with low CBD that is safe and legal to use for cosmetic use. Excellent to reduce excess sebum production in oily skin and an effective antioxidant for slowing down the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

NB: We are looking for a new source as our current supplier is out of stock.

A dark yellowish green to dark green pourable oil with a light aroma obtained by carbon dioxide extraction of the hemp plant. The aroma does linger on the skin but it is not so strong as to need masking.

This product is a low CBD oil for cosmetic use and not for medicinal use. It is not the same as Hemp Seed Oil which is an oil expressed from the seeds. The CBD oil is taken from the whole plant.

CBD is an abbreviation for Cannabidiol which is a natural extract of the hemp plant. It is legal and non intoxicating as it has no psychoactive or addictive effects (it contains less than 0.05% THC). In short, this oil cannot make you “high”. It does, however, have valuable skincare functions.

Inci:

Cannabis Sativa L

Skin Care
Excellent to use in acne prone skin products. It is known to be able to regulate sebum production which will help people with very oily skin to reduce the amount of breakouts they have. Blending this with other oils that have a low freezing point will also help.

This ability to regulate sebum production as well as being anti inflammatory will help very much to reduce acne scarring.

It improves moisturisation of the skin and increases the resilience of the skin barrier protecting the skin from external aggressors and pollutants.

As a potent antioxidant, it will help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Use in anti aging creams, lotions and serums.

Hair Care
As it is a great anti seborrhoeic, adding it to a shampoo will help to remove loose flakes from the scalp and leave the scalp feeling conditioned and comfortable.

Other
Use 1% to 3%.

Oil soluble so cannot be used in water only products. It can be used in water based gels that will hold it in suspension.

It is not heat stable so should be used in Stage 3 (below 40°C) when making creams and lotions.

Suggested Blends
Blend with low freezing point oils like Hazelnut and Squalane to encourage the skin to behave more like normal skin than oily skin.
