Minimum Shelf life:
A clear to dark yellow liquid with a strong odour that can be covered with essential oils if used in an oil only blend. If used in creams and lotions, the strong smell is not so noticable. It is pressed from Blueberry Seeds.
We strongly recommend that you keep this product refrigerated after you receive it.
Use 1% to 100% however, oils rich in Omega 3 can feel very tight on the skin when used neat so we recommend always to blend it with other oils to become even more effective. A great working level that we use is 1% to 5% in creams and lotions and up to 40% is oil based serums.
Oil soluble so cannot be used in water only products. It can be used in small amounts in water based gels that will hold it in suspension.
Blueberry Seed Oil is heat sensitive so must be used in Stage 3 (below 40°C) when making creams and lotions.
Blueberry Seed OIl works very well with any of the CO2 Extracts to super enhance a rejuvenating serum blend.
The oil has 0.5% Vitamin E (Tocopherol) added as an extra antioxidant which will reduce the potential oxidation of the Blueberry Seed Oil whilst it is in the bottle. That Vitamin E is itself in Sunflower Seed Oil to make the tocopherol pourable. This is the only way to ensure you receive a potent product that is still effective.
The Blueberry Seed Oil content is 99.5%.
Ideal to use in products for sensitive skin and oily skin, as well as skin with large pores and acne prone skin.
Blueberry Seed Oil penetrates the skin very fast and leaves no greasy residue. Perfect for skin serums especially when blended with other actives. It revitalises, clarifies, tightens and tones the skin.
Suitable for all skin types as it has excellent levels of Omega 3. It makes the skin glow and look more youthful, plump and firm.
Blueberry Seed Oil is ideal to use in around the eye products like eye creams and eye gels.
Ideal to add to daily defense creams and serums.
Due to the naturally occurring Vitamin A content, we would not recommend to use this on babies.
