An algae derived active useful for temporary hair loss. Studies showed it increased hair growth and hair density.

A transparent orange to reddish brown coloured liquid. As it is a naturally occuring product, the colour may vary slightly from batch to batch and there may be sediment in the bottle. It is derived from two types of algae from the Brittany area of France;

Laminaria Digitata is an algae that is known for its stimulating properties and its ability to regulate sebum flow.

Pelvetia Canaliculata is an algae that is known for its anti stress, stimulating and cleansing properties.

This combined action results in improved hair vitality when applied with scalp massage as it stimulates the microcirculation of the scalp. Studies showed that this increased the hair growth by 27% as well as the hair density by 10% over a two month period.

Inci:

Propylene Glycol, Aqua, Panthenol, Pelvetia canaliculata Extract, Laminaria digitata Extract, Methylparaben, Propylparaben

Historical Information
Being concerned about hair loss is not a new idea. The Ancient Egyptians had a number of “cures” including blending a mixture of the fats taken from hippopotamus, crocodile, tom cat, snake and ibex and mixing it with water drained from boiling porcupine hair. Sauteeing the leg of a female greyhound with a donkey hoof was also recommended.

Hippocrates noticed that male eunuchs did not get thinning hair problems but, unsurprisingly, castration never took off as a cure.
