A spicy, woody, slight camphoraceous aroma that is penetrating and lingering.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A pale yellow to green oil that is steam distilled from the oleo gum/resin from a small bush/tree of the boswellia family.
 
According to the Cosmetic Ingredient Database (CosIng), the functions of Frankincense Essential Oil are:Emollient, Masking, Skin Conditioning.

HOW TO USE IT

Skin Care
Suitable for all types and ages of skin, but an especially good choice for dry and mature skin. Also suitable for acne prone skin.
 
Use in gel wraps for general skin toning.
 
Add a few drops to a bath oil or massage blend.
 
Include in balms and lotions.
 
Hair Care
A small amount gives a good base note that will mask any strong smelling raw materials.
Include some fresh citrus top notes to get a good, fresh balance.
 
Other
Use in a diffuser or oil burner as a good choice for meditations and intense work including rituals.
 
Use as a base note in small amounts to cover the smell of other useful oils such as Elemi and Spikenard for eye area products.
 
Suggested Blends
Combine with Frangipani to get a wonderful emotional lift that clears negativity.
 
Blend with Cinnamon, Clove and Blood Orange or Mandarin for an evocative scent of Christmas.
 
Use with Elemi and Spikenard for anti wrinkle eye creams and serums.

Do not use if pregnant or trying to become pregnant.

Frankincense - quick delivery

I was glad to receive the frankincense quickly. It seems very nice and it was not expensive, though it is not as nice as Neal's Yard, who had run out. But their's is about twice as expensive.

Organic Frankincense Essential Oil

I am using this oil as aromatherapy treatment for a horse. Having tested his response, he is enjoying the aroma. He had a Flehmen response to Frankincense indicating that it is needed and is helping him.
