It is a custom made blend of essential oils which are extracted by distillation or pressing of lemon (peel), grapefruit (peel), juniper berry (berries), rosemary (leaves), fennel (seed), ginger (root) and black pepper (fruit).
If you have a diffuser (either electric or candle) add a few drops of your chosen blend to the water bowl. Make sure the cable is out of the reach of children or pets.
If you don’t have a diffuser, you can use a cotton wool ball or a piece of kitchen roll and damp it under the tap. Add a few drops of Detox Oil Blend and pop it on one of the radiators. Don’t be too heavy handed as it is very strong. You can do this in several rooms of the house so that there is a gentle change of atmosphere between the hallway and the living room, for example.
Citrus Grandis Peel Oil, Citrus Limon Peel Oil, Juniperus Communis Fruit Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Oil, Foeniculum Vulgare Dulce Fruit Oil, Piper Nigrum Fruit Oil, Zingiber Officinale Root Oil
The individual essential oils are listed on the Cosmetic Ingredient Database (Cosing) here.
Add a couple of drops of Detox blend to a shower oil, wash away the excesses and feel fabulous! Or add a few drops to a ready made base product.
We recommend that you check the individual essential oils separately to see if the blend is suitable for you.
No specific hair care usage.
Use 1% to 100% in a diffuser.
Oil soluble so cannot be used in water only products. It can be used in small amounts in a carrier oil in water based gels that will hold it in suspension.
Not heat stable so must be used in Stage 3 (cool down stage) when making creams and lotions.
When you have finished clearing up in the kitchen, add a couple of drops of Detox blend to your wet cloth and wipe down the surfaces. It will freshen up the aroma of the kitchen and get rid of the smell of boiled vegetables. The Detox blend is also very refreshing when you are driving somewhere. Add a few drops to a tissue and put it in the ventilation slots on the dashboard.
This is already a blend so we do not recommend adding other essential oils to it.
We recommend that you check the individual essential oils separately to see if the blend is suitable for you or has contraindications for use.
Warning: Essential oils can be toxic to some animals (especially important if you are using a room diffuser where there are animals in the room). Consult a veterinary surgeon if concerned.
Traditional Aromatherapy Uses
Professionally qualified aromatherapists have often used pre blended oils as many of the clients coming to them often have similar needs.
