Stage 1: (above 75°C)
2% Beeswax
12% Arnica Oil
12% Comfrey Oil
12% Calendula Oil
6% Emulsifan CB

Stage 2: (above 75°C)
37% Boiling Spring Water
5% Glycerine
10% Witch Hazel Water

Stage 3: (below 40°C)
2% Vitamin E
1% Preservative 12
1% Essential Oils of your choice

Total 100%

Method:

Weigh all Stage 1 (fat stage) ingredients into a large stainless steel bowl and place into a saucepan of boiling water (double boiler/bain marie). Heat to above 75°C. When the Stage 1 is over 75°C, add the Stage 2 ingredients to a stainless steel bowl and ensure all the ingredients are thoroughly dissolved. Pour the Stage 2 ingredients into the Stage 1 ingredients (water into fat) and stir gently without creating air bubbles. When everything is over 75°C, stir continually for 5 minutes and keep above that temperature. After 5 minutes, remove bowl from the double boiler and put into a pan of cold water to cool it down quickly. Keep stirring all the time. When the product is under 40°C, add the remaining Stage 3 ingredients. Combine thoroughly, jar and label.

Thank you for your enquiry.
Please see the below response from our Research and Development Team;
“You could use whatever essential oils you choose, as long as you check up on any possible contra indications. On our website you can find this in the “Cautions/ Contraindications” section of the website listings. 0.5% Black Pepper is generally considered safe but be aware that Black Pepper essential oil can be a sensitiser for people with sensitive skin. As we do not stock Turmeric essential oil we are unable to comment on that."
