  • Melt stage 1 ingredients together in a double boiler and heat to 75°C or above
  • Make a slurry with Glycerol Extract and Guar Gum. Place a beaker in bain-marie and pour on boiling bottled spring water. Stir together with a silicon spatula, then stick blend to form a smooth, thickened water.
  • When Stages 1 & 2 are at approximately the same temperature, pour Stage 1 into Stage 2 and stir together.
  • While the mixture is still in the bain-marie stick blend for 30 seconds, leave for 1 minute then stick blend for another 30 seconds.
  • Add Kokum Butter and stir to disperse.
  • Remove the beaker from the bain-marie and put into a pan of cold water. Stir with a spatula until the emulsion reaches 40°C or below
  • Add Stage 3 and stir in well, jar and label.

Designed as a nourishing and balancing hair masque that may also be used on the skin. It makes an extremely thick and rich cream that is readily absorbed by the skin with no soaping effect and no greasy after feel. When used as a hair masque it can be left on for an hour or overnight before shampooing out. A little can also be used on the dry ends of hair to tame the frizziness or applied to the scalp when a new weave starts to get itchy or irritated.
