Sunflower Oil, Cold Pressed, High Oleic Content (Organic)

INCI Name ORG N Helianthus annuus Deodorised. Clear, pale yellow liquid. Aromantic are happy to introduce a new sunflower oil with a minimum of 80% oleic acid (omega 9) content. This high oleic acid content makes this sunflower oil very similar to sweet almond oil and it can replace the almond oil in vegetable oil massage, body and face oil blends. The reason that the organic sunflower oil with a high oleic acid content is such a good replacement, is that it is relatively much less expensive than organic sweet almond oil. Can be used on all skin types in creams, lotions, sun creams, massage oils, hair packs, bath oils and skin barrier products that protect against skin infections. A stable sunflower oil for cooking This Sunflower Oil with a high oleic acid content has a very neutral taste and smell and is much more stable than ‘normal’ sunflower oil, which can have up to 70% linoleic acid (omega 6) content. This means that you can use it for frying and cooking as it will remain much more stable and therefore avoids creating trans fatty acids when cooking. The consumption of trans fats increases one's risk of coronary heart disease by raising levels of "bad" LDL cholesterol and lowering levels of "good" HDL cholesterol.[1] Conversely, the high oleic content Sunflower Oil has shown to lower levels of "bad" LDL cholesterol and increase levels of "good" HDL cholesterol, and so is a desirable food supplement for a healthy heart.
