Coloured Makeup Day 3 – Advanced

Overview

Today will be specifically about personalising make-up products for yourself – bespoke products for your own skin tone and complexion. Working with blending of colours, pressing loose powders, and applications of makeup.

Important, Prerequisite: Students attending Day 3 must have attended Intermediate Day 2 in 2011 as you will be making use of both products and knowledge from Day 2 (yesterday). Maximum participants 20.

About Cinda Phelps

An Holistic Skin Care therapist and licensed cosmetologist (beauty therapist), Cinda is experienced in the world of aromatherapy and is European trained and certified to make and also to teach the art of making Natural Skin Care products using healing, active ingredients within her formulations customised for each individual skin personality.

A consultant to professionals in the skin care business, Cinda has trained others in Holistic techniques and practices, using her experience and custom blends to invigorate and maximize every treatment to its fullest. Also, an accomplished make-up artist who knows how to blend colours for all types and colours of skin, you may see her at weddings or special occasions demonstrating her talents using mineral cosmetics.

She owns and operates a Skin Care Boutique, practicing her profession in cosmetology, holistic skin therapy, and making and retailing her custom blends. She is the owner and founder of Cinda’s Botanical Blends in Illinois, USA, a company dedicated to making the most natural skin care products available.

Who will benefit from attending this course?

• Make-up artists who want to make natural make-up products that are kind to the skin.
• If you aspire/already sell natural cosmetics to the public, either full or part-time, you may wish to create your unique range of natural make-up products.
• Or you may simply want to create your own natural make-up, for yourself or for family and friends – this way you know what you’re putting on your skin!

Note: this course can be attended without first having to attend any of our other courses. Maximum participants 20 people.

Course Schedule

9:30: Registration

9:45: The day begins with introductions and overview of basic ingredients used in formulations for making blush, bronzers, eye shadows, camouflage, and learning the art of matching foundation powders to different colours of skin, and pressing the powders in professional containers.

10:15: Students will learn to personalise (lighten or darken) tinted foundation powders made on Coloured Make Up Day 2 to match their own skin complexions and they will learn to press these into containers for a pressed foundation.

11:00: Tea Break

11:15: Students will learn to blend together basic minerals for making blush and bronzers for their own skin complexions and press these into containers.

13:00: Lunch Break

14:00: Students will learn to blend basic minerals for making eye shadows

14:30: Tea Break

14:45: Students will learn to blend colours into basic minerals for eye shadows for their own complexions and press into containers.

16:00: Students will see a demonstration of a professional application of makeup, using makeup made in the course.

16:30: Clean up time and Q and A from students

17:15: Course ends

What Students will take home

Students will take home in professional containers: Liquid Lipgloss, Solid Lipgloss, Matte Lipstick, Sheer Lipstick, Solid Eyeliner, Liquid Eyeliner, Mascara, and Lip and Eye Pencils. Recipes and detailed instructions for making professional products.
