Origin: Mainly Brittany coast, France. The Algae self-heating Body Wrap is formulated with micronized seaweed, well-known for their detoxifying & remineralizing properties. 

This very fine powder turns into an effervescent & self-heating paste when mixed with water. While the temperature gently rises, the wrap releases its marine actives. Ideal as a thalassotherapy treatment, its progressively heating effect and its natural effervescence create a genuine feeling of well-being and relieve stress. keeps for 2 years.

Seaweed & marine silts for a multi-action treatment

This body Wrap is a combination of Spirulina, Fumaric Acid, Laminaria & Marine silts. Spirulina is a natural source of amino acids that are necessary to restore the firming tissues and vitamins A & E and acts as a skin toner. Laminaria provides organic iodine, marine salts and mannitol, having respectively slimming, remineralizing and moisturizing properties. 

Marine silts contain numerous trace elements and show greater proved therapeutic characteristics than other clays. 

Self-heating body wraps are extremely rich blends of micronized seaweed to create rich and generous pastes. The temperature increases progressively during the treatment to create a fine mousse rich in active ingredients. The heating action allows to relieve body aches. A body wrap is rich in marine actives for thalassotherapy.

Directions for use

  1. Use 250g for a full body treatment. 
  2. Mix 2 parts of powder with 3 parts of water (250g of powder to 375ml water) until you get a homogeneous paste (20°C max). 
  3. Apply it quickly to the body. 
  4. Wrap the customer in a plastic sheet. Do not use a warming blanket. Avoid application to wounds. 
  5. Leave on for 15 to 30 minutes.

Fumaric Acid
As this product contains Fumaric Acid it will support and could be part of psoriasis treatments. Fumaric Acid has been used to treat psoriasis but mainly with capsules taken orally, which can sometimes cause unwanted side effects. 

In healthy individuals, Fumaric acid is formed in the skin when it is exposed to sunlight. People with psoriasis appear to have a biochemical defect  that requires prolonged exposure to the sun to produce it. However, there is no clinical evidence to show that people with psoriasis need extra Fumaric acid in their system or need to supplement their diet with it as it is not effective in the treatment of psoriasis alone. 

To use Fumaric acid along with other ingredients in a Body Wrap seems to be a safe way to support your skin.

Spirulina
Spirulina is a microscopic filamentous alga belonging to the blue algae family. It is very rich in proteins and vitamins A & E. It grows naturally in the lakes of tropical countries. The safety and quality of Spirulina has been evaluated by numerous research programmes. It is widely recognise dthat it contains over 50 nutrients such as proteins, more than 12 types of vitamins, more than 13 types of minerals, and essential fatty acids (EFAs), including gamma linoleic acid (GLA).

Maris limus
Marine Silts are presented under the form of a very fine powder. When mixed with water, they reform a real marine mud with a clayed texture. Marine Silts are constituted of extremely fine particles. They contain cations and numerous trace elements (S, Zn…), and show greater proved therapeutic characteristics than other clays.
