What is it?

Flowers from Egypt/Morocco. There are 42 varieties of jasmine recorded in India and this grandiflorum is the one most commonly thought of as true jasmine; very feminine, soft, sweet and floral. 400 blossoms are hand picked in the dawn to produce one single drop of oil.

Use on sensitive skin as well as dry or greasy skin. It calms and relaxes the mind and body and is useful for stress related conditions such as nervous exhaustion and mild depression where it can instil feelings of optimism and confidence - some people even say euphoria! Perhaps this is also why it has a long traditional use as an aphrodisiac and it is very good at calming feelings of anxiety. It takes the emotional edge of PMS and the menopause as well as reduces cramping.

Suggested Blends

Blends very well with Rose and Ylang Ylang as an aphrodisiac. With geranium to regulate sebum production in the skin. With shea butter oil on stretch marks or scars.

Cautions

Do not use on psoriasis or eczema. Do not use during pregnancy or if trying to conceive. Contact a qualified aromatherapist if wanting to use in the late stages of pregnancy. Do not combine with marjoram.
