What is it? 90% Sunflower Oil (Organic) + 10% Essential Oils/Absolutes of Sandalwood Albany (Organic); Lavender Fine Population, French (Organic); Neroli (Organic); Rose Otto (non-Organic); Jasmine (Organic); Helichrysum (Organic). Dosage: Mix 1-2% of the blend into your products.
Our Dry Skin Blend is part of a range of four blends for different skin types formulated by our very own Mike Harmon who, as many of you will know, is a clinical aromatherapist who is also very skilled at formulating and making natural skin and hair care products in the Aromantic style.
Benefits It is ideal for enhancing tailor-made/prescription products that you make up for your therapy clients or for a skin care range catering for different skin types. You can add it to any product that you can add vegetable oils to, such as creams, gels, vegetable oil blends and serums, whether youre making them from scratch or you simply want to add the blend to ready-made products, it couldnt be easier! Note: if you add this blend to gels (while making from scratch or adding to ready-made gels) it will result in a milky gel as the more fats/oils you add to an emulsion, the whiter it becomes.
Sandalwood Albany (Organic) A superb oil for rehydrating skin and giving a radiant glow to the skin. Even though it rehydrates dry skin, it also has an astringent effect so tones the skin and makes it firmer.
Lavender Fine Population, French (Organic) One of the best things it does is to act as a synergist. Whatever the attributes of the other essential oils in a blend, lavender seems to make those oils work even harder by being included. Calming and soothing.
Neroli (Organic) One of the ultimate oils for skin care. It tones the skin and helps to reduce wrinkles. Excellent moisturising properties make sit perfect for a dry skin blend.
Rose Otto (non-Organic) Good skin care oil for all skin types but especially helping with dry skin.
Jasmine (Organic) Very calming and relaxing.
Helichrysum (Organic) Has the ability to stimulate the production of new skin cells.
Dosage and How to use in products Dosage: This is a concentrated blend. Use 1-2% of the blend in your products. Add to products in the same way as you would other fragrances and essential oils. keeps 2 years.
Cautions Because it contains jasmine, Do not use on psoriasis or eczema. Do not use during pregnancy or if trying to conceive. Contact a qualified aromatherapist if wanting to use in the late stages of pregnancy. Do not combine with marjoram. Because it contains rose otto, do not use during pregnancy.
*Note : All essential oils and absolutes in these skin type blends, are organic except the rose otto, which is non-organic. There is only 1% of rose otto in this blend so therefore this blend still qualifies for use in organic products as it still contains well above the 95% organic ingredients required for a product to be called organic or used in organic products.
