- Does this dissolve in water? I'm looking for bamboo extract to add to hair gel Thanks
- No, this bamboo exfoliant does not dissolve in water. It is designed as an exfoliating ingredient and will remain as particles in your hair gel formulation.
- I have recently tried a deodorant containing bamboo powder which is supposed to be good for soaking up sweat. Would you recommend it for this purpose? I normally use bicarb of soda in my deodorant recipe but would be interested in this as an alternative.
- The Bamboo Exfoliant won't work for this purpose, as the particle size if too large to feel smooth - it is meant to exfoliate. Bicarbonate of Soda can be extremely irritating to the skin, depending on the percentage used. Our Rice Starch is beautifully smooth and is what we use ourselves for deodorants and as a replacement for talc. https://aromantic.co.uk/products/rice-starch
