Bulgarian Rose Otto
Our Rose Otto project is based in the Bulgarian Valley of
Roses, one of the most famous areas in the world for Rose
oil.
The roses are extremely delicate and need to be collected
by a very skilled hand so as not to crush the petals
while picking.
An experienced picked can collect up to 35 kg of Rose petals per day. It takes
5 tonnes of Rose petals to produce 1 kilo of Rose Otto.
People come from all over Bulgaria for the picking of the roses, it provides
work for many people.
The collected rose petals are taken to the distillation unit where very
experienced and skilled workers steam distil the petals and produce the Rose
Otto.
The Nikolaev family have been producing Rose Otto for generations. And they
are now exclusively producing a regular supply of premier quality Rose Otto
oil.
