Grape Seed Oil

INCI Name N Vitis vinifera Description Refined. Always blend grape seed oil with cold pressed oils. Keeps for 2-3 years. Skin Care A dry oil used a lot for body massage but is best blended with cold pressed oils. With its high content of omega 6 (Linoleic Acid), grape seed oil relieves problems with poor blood circulation. It is a dry oil with a neutral colour and most people can use it without any adverse reactions. Cooking A thin and dry oil with a very mild flavour and therefore good for dressings as it will not overpower the other ingredients. Can easily be combined with other stronger flavoured and expensive oils. Refined grape seed has a high smoke point (over 200°c/392°f) and is therefore an excellent choice of cooking oil for sautèeing or frying. Related products Massage Oil Blends Grape seed oil makes an excellent addition to a massage oil blend as it has the unique qualities of offering very good lubrication while still being a dry, thin oil that doesn’t feel greasy in any way. However, as it is not cold pressed, always blend grape seed oil with cold pressed oils such as sweet almond, jojoba and apricot kernel. It can be replaced by thistle oil in general oil blends but not in massage oil blends. Massage Oil Blends for Oily, Large-pored or Acne-prone Skin The dry and thin grape seed oil is a very good choice blended together with jojoba oil for these skin types and conditions.
