You can use our Cold Emulsifier in creams, lotions, bath oils, and scrubs and no heating needed! It is a thin, clear liquid gel form produced in the United Kingdom. Dosage for creams and lotions: mostly used at a dosage of 6%. CONCEPT Cold Emulsifier (Organic) is based on a particular sugar ester, sucrose laurate, which is one of the most interesting and versatile sugar esters, but also one of the most difficult to use. By blending this product into a base with recognisable, natural ingredients, a truly functional product results. Sugar esters are made by combining sucrose with a fatty acid via an esterification reaction. There are many grades available and they are used in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. They are predominantly used as emulsifiers, although they do have other unique properties, such as being able to form stable oily gels, which emulsify on contact with water. They are extremely mild and have a long history of safe use. Sucrose laurate is suitable for use in organically certified products. USAGE GUIDELINES Cold Emulsifier (Organic) is an emulsifier and oil thickening agent; it can also be used on its own. It has been developed for use at room temperature but can be used at elevated temperature if needed (up to 80°C). Always add the oil phase into the Cold Emulsifier first and if needed, add the water phase afterwards. Dosage: use between 6% and 99%. The most common dosage for making creams and lotions that we know of currently is 6%.
