Description

The solid fatty acids have been removed from the coconut fat so it becomes liquid. 2-3 year shelf life.

Skin Care

Adds body and good lubricating and softening properties to massage oils and other skin care products. Due to its fattiness, it is used in protective skin care products such as hand and foot creams or lotions, which protect the skin from the elements.

In the countries where coconuts are found, it is used for its beneficial hair care qualities, such as making the hair shiny and glossy.

Cooking

The solid coconut oil/fat is traditionally used in commercial baked goods but the liquid fractionated form is used for high temperature cooking because of the high level of saturated fats that make it more durable for higher temperatures. (Smoke point unknown). It has been suggested that coconut oil is more like a carbohydrate as it digests rapidly to be used as immediate energy rather than be stored as a fat, which means that a greater quantity of coconut oil can be consumed before it is stored as fat. There are several studies that have indicated that the saturated fat in coconut oil is metabolised in the body in the same way as unsaturated fat and, as a result, low density lipoproteins (so-called “bad cholesterol”) will not be increased due to the intake of coconut oil.

It is beneficial to blend coconut oil with drier oils such as jojoba oil and some thistle oil.

Protective Hand and Foot Products

Blend coconut oil with jojoba oil and add thistle oil for its nourishing qualities (high content of essential fatty acids).

For making hair shiny and glossy/hair loss prevention

Blend coconut oil with castor oil, camelina, moringa and calendula Oils. Whether using it for preventing hair loss or for making hair shiny and glossy, the blend needs to be massaged in and left for an hour. Then, first rub shampoo into the hair, then water when rinsing the shampoo out i.e. don’t wet the hair before rubbing in the shampoo.

Coconut Sports Massage Oil

Very healing for the skin because of the high quantity of undiluted vitamin E oil.

45ml Coconut Oil, Liquid Fractionated
15ml Jojoba Oil
5ml Thistle Oil
34ml/g Vitamin E Oil (undiluted)
12 drops Rosemary Antioxidant (CO2 Extract)
10-12 drops Essential Oils

Coconut Massage Oil

The organic coconut aroma and the aroma-retained coconut butter give this blend a heavenly smell and the aroma-retained coconut butter adds extra skin nourishment.

15g Coconut Butter, aroma-retained (melt before adding to blend)
50ml Coconut Oil, Liquid Fractionated
24ml Jojoba Oil
10ml Thistle Oil
0.5ml/g Vitamin E Oil (undiluted)
10-12 drops Coconut Aroma (Organic)
