Description

Fairly traded Organic Seeds made into coldpressed oil from a community project in India.Used for skin care and as a home remedy. A stable oil which does not easily go rancid. Keeps for 3-4 years. 

Skin Care

This is a viscous oil with a high fat content, which is absorbed by the skin very slowly. Good for e.g. lip balms, cleansing and exfoliating products and massage oils. Castor oil is used in massage oil blends for whole body massage because the skin very slowly absorbs it. However, because it is short, sticky and resistant, you should use only a small percentage in your massage blends.

As it draws dirt to itself, making it excellent in any cleansing products.
Also makes lips, hair and skin shiny so add to lip balms, hair packs and face and body oils.

Home Remedy

Used mainly as a laxative in dosage of 15-20ml. We recommend chilling it in the fridge and mixing it with cold orange juice to make it more palatable.

Cooking

In China it is used for cooking and dressings.

Blend Castor oil with sweet almond or apricot kernel oils.

Massage Blends

Add up to 15% castor oil in a blend with, for example, sweet almond, apricot kernel and/or jojoba oil.

For enhancing shine and glossiness to dull, dry, tired skin

Blend castor oil with drier oils that also enhance the skin in the same way, such as camelina, avocado or moringa.

Castor Pigment-reducing Oil

Apply directly to pigmented area/s or spots.

90ml Castor Oil
8g Beeswax (melt before adding to the blend)
1ml/g Vitamin E Oil (undiluted)
25 drops Lemon Essential Oil

Castor Swedish Massage Oil Blend

Excellent lubrication properties. Also gives the skin a healthy shine.

30ml Castor Oil
40ml Olive Oil
27ml Jojoba Oil
3ml/g Vitamin E Oil (undiluted)
10-12 drops Essential Oils
